As now-traditional karting event KAK-Cupen was run in Stockholm this weekend, Felix Rosenqvist kick-started his 2010 season by finishing first and second in the two heats contested. Having left with a clean-sweep of victories in the playful meeting last year, Felix returned to the top step of the podium by winning the team's round as part of a line-up that also included profiles from Swedish industry and media.
Following that initial success, Felix turned his attention to a heat for individuals - open only, as per the rules, to so-called professional racing drivers. With karts being a long way from equal performance-wise, some drivers faced a steep challenge to overcome the shortcomings their material provided them with. Felix, however, had no real problems and ended up second behind Alexander Haegermark after a long and entertaining battle with Philip Forsman, which saw the former Formula Renault competitors bang wheels as they fought for position! KAK-Cupen historically enjoys the presence and participation of many of Sweden's absolute top drivers, and the 2010 edition was no exception with a range of motorsport genres represented on the grid.
Both drivers and spectators had a pleasant day in Stockholm, and hopefully, this was only the first chance for Felix to visit the podium this season!
