Felix has returned home to a cold-bitten Sweden following an intense week of physical training, new acquaintances and mental preparations at a Mercedes pre-season camp in Austria.
Felix, who is set to drive for Mercedes-powered Mücke Motorsport in Formula 3 Euro Series this season, got to meet some of the German car manufacturer's top brass - including Vice President of the sporting division, Norbert Haug - and spent seven days with some of his fellow Mercedes F3 drivers at a camp which was also attended by the marque's DTM line-up. Felix summed it all up in positive spirits, as he got his head around all new impressions.
The programme for the week included traditional Scandinavian-style cross-country skiing in the Austrian Alps, social networking exercises (which enabled Felix to get to know his new team-mate Nigel Melker) and a range of further activities to kick-start Mercedes' pre-season undertakings.
Next up for Felix is the first test of the year - and his maiden appearance behind the wheel of a Mücke Motorsport single-seater - at Circuit de Catalunya on the outskirts of Barcelona in the beginning of next month. The Formula 3 Euro Series fraternity will then travel south to Valencia for another two days of testing, before the season kicks off at Paul Ricard in France on April 1-3.
