Felix wins traditional Swedish karting event

Felix Rosenqvist began the new season like he ended last: with victory! Although this time it wasn't about an all-important Championship-decider, Swedish annual karting event KAK-Cupen* traditionally features many of the country's greatest racing drivers (including 2006 World Series by Renault Champion Alx Danielsson and 1989 Le Mans 24 Hours winner Stanley Dickens) - with Felix among those invited to compete. The reigning Formula Asia 2.0 Champion got off to a flying start by winning the individual round, before acting as team leader (while still taking part as a driver himself) for a group of Swedish entrepreneurs in the second battle of the day: the teams' contest. As the icing on the cake, Felix and his team emerged victorious - providing Rosenqvist with a clean sweep of triumphs at the Stockholm event. Felix - who participated in last year's edition of KAK-Cupen with a second place as his best result - got to race one particularly familiar face this time out, as former March3 Racing team mate Fredrik Blomstedt also turned up. More than 90 drivers entered the competition.

Due to contractual talks, it might still take some time before Felix's final plans for his competitive 2009 season can be announced - but if this weekend's karting results are anything to go by it will certainly be a year to remember! Please keep up to date with all developments of Felix Rosenqvist's career by visiting www.felixracing.se continuously during the coming months.
