First F3 podium for Felix!

Felix has taken his first podium of the season, and the first F3 podium of his career, after finishing second in today's ATS Formula 3 Cup race at Sachsenring. Felix used his row one grid position to perfect effect with a good start, and withstood pressure from Stef Dusseldorp in the early part of the race to finish 4.955 seconds behind winner Tom Dillmann.

After the troubles of the Oschersleben season opener, Felix was yet to open up his 2010 points account before today's result (which is worth 8). Felix's Performance Racing team-mate Alon Day had a tougher time, finishing in 11th, while overall leader Kevin Magnussen had to settle for fifth in his Motopark Academy car. Felix's performance means that he has now visited the podium in every single category he has ever raced in.

"Probably the toughest race of my career," says Felix. "I had Dusseldorp in my mirrors all the time and knew that one mistake was all it would take for him to pass. It's great to have been able to hold on to second, and the motivation going into Race 2 couldn't have been higher!"

Race 2 will take place tomorrow, starting at 13.40 local time. For a report on the events in the second race, please await the Felix Racing press release.
