Throughout the autumn, www.felixracing.se will be running a series of articles where we look back at some of Felix's previous rivals - and chart where their careers have taken them by 2012. A new profile will be introduced every seven days. This week: James Calado.
Raced against Felix: 2010 (Macau Grand Prix)
Today: Race winner during maiden GP2 campaign
James Calado is this year's number one revelation in GP2, the series just below Formula 1 on the motor racing ladder. The Briton - who has made his debut in the championship in 2012 - wound up fifth in the overall standings, and is considered one of the hottest names for a potential promotion onto the Grand Prix stage with backing from the Racing Steps Foundation. Before his GP2 achievement, Calado finished as runner-up in both British Formula Renault, British Formula 3 and GP3.
Calado and Felix have crossed roads once; at the 2010 Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix in China. Felix qualified seventh, one second ahead of Calado who went on to finish 19th in Sunday's main race. Felix, meanwhile, took the chequered flag in ninth place.
Previously: Rio Haryanto, Jean-Éric Vergne, Kevin Magnussen
