Felix brought the official FIA Formula 3 European Championship mid-season test at Hockenheim to a close by setting the third fastest time of the day - and the week - on Thursday.
On a day that saw some much-improved weather after Wednesday running was compromised by persistent rain, Felix and Mücke Motorsport were able to complete the extensive set-up evaluation programme begun yesterday.
Felix's best lap of the day - a 1m33.645s - would leave him third on the timesheets, behind Carlin duo Daniil Kvyat (1m33.305s) and Jordan King (1m33.564s). Championship rival Raffaele Marciello wound up seventh, a little over two tenths adrift of Felix as the top 19 were covered by less than one second.
Felix's next outing will take place at Zandvoort in the Netherlands in two weeks' time, as racing resumes at one of his favourite tracks.
"Another good day, and a lot of valuable things learned," Felix said. "It was a bit damp this morning, but the weather then stabilised - and that enabled us to complete everything we set out to do. In that respect, today was better than yesterday, and we have found some interesting directions on the set-up ahead of the remaining few races. We had some minor issues getting our new tyres to work like we wanted them to, but that happens from time to time and overall these two days have been very productive."
