Felix was handed the opportunity to gain further confidence behind the wheel of his F3 Dallara in wet conditions when heavy rain hit unofficial testing at EuroSpeedway Lausitz on Wednesday.
Felix joined Mücke Motorsport team-mate Nigel Melker for the day's activities, with the aim of getting back into the groove during the current four-week gap between races.
The one-day test was open for teams and drivers from both within and outside Formula 3 Euro Series - and despite no official timing taking place, Felix declared himself happy with the progress made throughout the day.
"Today was mainly about driving as much as possible to counter potential rustiness ahead of the up-coming round of the championship in just over two weeks' time," Felix said. "We haven't driven at all since the last race at the Norisring, so these laps have been very important - particularly for me, as I don't do any other type of racing in between events. I am getting used to rain here at Lausitz, and I have definitely improved my understanding of what it takes to be even faster in conditions like these. A productive day for us."
Apart from Mücke Motorsport, Motopark Academy (aided by the services of Jimmy Eriksson) was also present at the test - as were a range of F3 drivers from the German ATS Formula 3 Cup championship.
The next time Felix steps into his car will be at the sixth round of the Formula 3 Euro Series season, set to take place at the Nürburgring on August 5-7.
